Official News

As the Lantern Festival approaches, OrcaTorch organized a team-building activity that combined traditional Chinese culture with sports. The activity was a badminton tournament held on the evening of the Lantern Festival.

The tournament was divided into several rounds, with employees randomly paired up as doubles teams. The games were played in a round-robin format, ensuring that everyone had the opportunity to play against multiple opponents. The final round was a championship match between the top two teams.

In addition to the tournament itself, the activity featured several other elements to promote team building and cultural awareness. Before the tournament began, employees participated in a brief introduction to the history and significance of the Lantern Festival. This was followed by a traditional Chinese lion dance performance, which brought good luck and positive energy to the event.

After the tournament, employees gathered for a celebratory dinner that featured various traditional Chinese foods, including tangyuan (sweet glutinous rice balls) and niangao (Chinese New Year cake). During the dinner, employees discussed their experiences during the tournament and shared stories and anecdotes.

The badminton tournament provided a fun and engaging way for employees to bond and work together as a team. Through the event, employees learned more about Chinese culture and tradition, and gained a deeper appreciation for the importance of teamwork in both sports and the workplace.

Overall, the Lantern Festival badminton team-building activity was a great success, fostering a sense of camaraderie and unity among our employees, and providing a memorable experience for all who participated.
