Stacy Chee
Brand Ambassador
In Malaysia, there is a remarkable woman who once worked as an accountant, living a predictable 9-to-5 routine for nearly a decade. But her passion for the ocean led her to rewrite her life story. Today, she is one of the very few female technical diving instructors in the country and the founder of Moby Tek Dive — meet Stacy Chee.
Stacy’s diving journey began at the age of 19, inspired by National Geographic. Determined to explore the unknown, she became the first Malaysian woman to dive beyond 100 meters, driven by a simple dream: to see the elusive lanternfish. Although she has not yet encountered it, Stacy cherishes the journey itself — the challenges, discoveries, and personal growth — as the true reward of technical diving.
As an instructor, Stacy’s philosophy goes far beyond skills training. She emphasizes rational thinking, independence, and composure — qualities essential both underwater and in life. By encouraging her students to solve problems and think for themselves, she helps them grow not only as divers, but as confident, self-reliant individuals.
Beyond teaching, Stacy is a passionate advocate for women in diving. In an industry often dominated by men, she is breaking barriers and inspiring the next generation of female divers to embrace the challenges of technical diving.
Passionate about ocean conservation, Stacy believes that by bringing people closer to the underwater world, they will truly understand its beauty — and why protecting it matters.
Her story proves that with courage, persistence, and passion, we can go beyond limits and discover deeper horizons, whether diving or working, or dreaming!
We are proud to welcome Stacy Chee as an OrcaTorch Brand Ambassador, as we continue to light up the depths together.
